Interview with Travis Bader

BcP- First of all, where are you located during these days and how are you feeling through this Covid19 pandemic?

Travis Bader- I am currently in North Carolina with family. I feel good during this Covid19 pandemic. I think there are a lot of bad things you can think about during these times but I try to remain positive.

BcP- Currently what ́s the situation in your country about this pandemic COVID-19?

T.B.- Each state is different with what they allow or don’t allow. Some states are on lockdown, meaning you can only go to the grocery store or exercise outside. While others are beginning to open back up and allow more activities and more people to work.

BcP- How do you evaluate Palencia ́s 2019/20 season?

T.B.- I think like any season there were a lot of ups and downs. We started really strong and had a lot of confidence early on. I think we did a good job even during the bad moments of trying to stay together to continue to fight. Being a top 5 team in this league is not easy and I think that shows how much talent we had on our team.

BcP- Would you like to wear this jersey again next year?

T.B.- I am sad that this year ended how it did. I think we had a lot of potential as we were entering the final part of the season. I really enjoyed my time in Palencia with the fans and my team and if the opportunity presented itself to return it would be very difficult to turn down.

BcP- Whats is your best memory you have about your time in Palencia?

T.B.- Every night we had a home game. I love the energy the fans would bring and to hear the chants. It was a special environment.

BcP- Now that you don ́t have basketball competition, how do you keep yourself busy?

T.B.- I still workout as best I can. Also my wife and I find a lot of activities to do like puzzling or just going for walks. I’ve also stayed busy connecting with people on the phone. This has given me a chance to explore my interests when I’m done playing basketball and have gotten the chance to read and learn about what I may want to do. Whether that’s coaching or something else.

BcP-  What do you hope or goals do you have for the next season of 2020/21?

T.B.- I hope next season will be problem free from Covid19. I would love to continue my career in Spain.

From www.baloncestoconp.es all the best wishes to Travis Bader and we wish him the best during these complicated moments.
